Conference Overview


The 21st Annual Texas Conference on Health Disparities with the theme, "Cancer Outcomes, Research, and Engagement", will be held during June 4th and 5th, 2026 at UNT Health Fort Worth, located in the heart of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. This premier event serves as a collaborative forum bringing together nationally recognized researchers, clinicians, patient advocates, industry innovators, and community stakeholders to address persistent cancer health disparities and advance meaningful improvements in cancer outcomes through sustained engagement. During this event, attendees will engage to advance science and practice of cancer care and survivorship.


The conference will feature a keynote address by Dr. Steven Patierno, Deputy Director of the Duke Cancer Institute (Durham, NC) and three interdisciplinary sessions, expert panel discussions, and an interactive poster presentation, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of emerging discoveries and real-world strategies that address multi-level drivers of cancer disparities. Speakers representing leading academic institutions, comprehensive cancer centers, and industry will highlight the latest knowledge on precision and system-level approaches that integrate basic science, clinical application, and community engagement. Together, these comprehensive program elements highlight the critical role of clinical and translational research in driving tangible solutions that enhance cancer prevention, treatment, survivorship, and overall outcomes for all populations.
